NLP
NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. Neuro stands for the mind, linguistic for language so NLP is about learning, understanding an programming the language of our own minds.
As a practice NLP, is extremely effective in challenging belief systems and behaviours that are formed over time. For example, phobias or fears. We are not born with phobias or fears, we LEARN them, as we do all other behaviours. NLP methods are designed to take a short-cut to the foundations of where behaviour is learned and to begin to introduce techniques to practice and ultimately change any undesired behaviour.
TLT
TLT or Time Line Therapy techniques are a set of tools that allow practitioners to help clients navigate their own memories based on the concept that memories are stored in a linear form in our internal storage, and linked together in a type of chain.
TLT is extremely powerful and can effect change very quickly because if our memories are linked together and create a whole belief structure from the first memory, then dealing effectively with the first memory will allow a practitioner to re-set the way that a person does something almost immediately.
HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process where a practitioner and client work together to reach the client’s unconscious in order to allow the client to work with their own mind without the normal defensive barriers the conscious mind puts in place.
Hypnotherapy is a very effective method of change and a client can work with a practitioner and then potentially alone in order to change unwanted habits, behaviours and thoughts at an unconscious level.
Contrary to popular belief, hypnotherapy is not ‘done to’ a client. A client must be fully co-operative for a practitioner to work with them and their unconscious. The entire process is in the complete control of the client and the practitioner is largely just the guide and instructor for the client. There are a number of methods within the hypnotherapy sphere but all can be effective in allowing a client to change any unconscious behaviour and replace bad habits with good.
